Frequently Asked Questions 


General Questions

  1. Do you deliver every image you shoot? No. We only deliver the very best of the images taken on the day that best reflect your story.

  2. Does your studio provide videography services? In 2017 We will be offering a co-package with Wedding Video Masters

  3. Do you do destination weddings? We sure do! We cover Indonesia, Australia, South Africa and the US.

  4. Do you provide partial day coverage? No.

  5. Do you shoot in JPEG, Small Raw, or Large Raw? Large RAW always! We NEVER provide RAW/Unedited Files for Purchase. We RETAIN COPYRIGHT for 70 Years.

Wedding Day Questions

  1. How many hours do you suggest we set aside for wedding day photos? Between 7 - 10 hours is more than enough!

  2. What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time? Stuart will notify the Groom on the wedding day and arrange invoicing for the extra hours.

  3. Why do we need to charge for additional coverage? Every hour we shoot equals 3 hours in post processing and file management.

Engagement Session Questions

  1. When can we expect to see our photos from our engagement session? Usually between 2 - 3 weeks in peak season.

  2. When should we do our engagement session? At least 6 months before the wedding to allow enough time!

  3. Can we schedule our engagement session for the weekend? Not in Peak Season, Only in the off season as we are booked solidly on peak.

  4. How many images do you typically deliver from and engagement session? From a wedding? Engagements : 30 -40 Images.

  5. When and where can we view our engagement pictures? You will receive a dropbox link to download the files as soon as they're ready.

Image Download Questions

  1. How many images do you deliver? 1000 - 1900 images depending on the wedding. PLEASE NOTE : As of July 2016 we digitally deliver all images.

  2. We DO NOT provide RAW/DNG Original image files / for purchase. Due to the Copyright Act of 1968 we retain all copyright to our images indefinitely. We are artists and deliver edited images in line with our image production aesthetic and the reason you hired us :)

  3. What if I lose my images? We keep the high res images for 2 years. After that, the files are expunged from our system. If you lose your USB provided the cost is $250.00 to provide a new download. WE DO NOT KEEP IMAGES AFTER 2 YEARS


  1. How long does it take to get my Album? We no longer offer albums.

Equipment Questions

  1. What type of camera/equipment do you use? Nikon Professional Full Frame Cameras and Lenses.

Redundancy Questions

  1. Do you backup our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost? Your wedding is shot on two cameras with duplicate shots where possible. All cards are Sandisk Extreme Pro SD cards and your wedding is backed up to three redundancy drives and stored offsite and in a fire proof safe.

  2. Do you have Liability Insurance? Sure do! All done through PPIB Australia.

Meeting Policy

  1. Do you travel to meet clients? Stuart meets all our clients for coffee at his favourite coffee haunt for a laid back meeting to discuss the day and what we do. It's a laid back, no sales pressure meeting. Depending on the schedule Stuart can come to your home.

  2. How do I set up an appointment to meet you in person and see some of your work? Use the contact page on our website. Sarah will book you in!

Payment and Tax Questions

  1. How do I reserve you for my date? We require a signed contract and a 50 % Non - Refundable Retainer of your package choice.

  2. What if we exceed our contracted time for our engagement shoot and/or wedding day coverage? Extra hours are charged at $500.00 p/h

  3. If we cancel the wedding will we receive our retainer back? There is a one week cooling off period after signing. After that the retainer is non - refundable. If you rebook the date to another date there is a $500.00 Date - Transfer Fee and your deposit will be moved to that date for you.

  4. If we change our wedding to a different date will we be able to use our deposit towards a future date? A fee of $500.00 is applicable for date changes.

  5. Do you charge travel fees? Travel fees are charged for interstate travel. Weddings down south we require 2 Nights Accommodation booked into a decent hotel. Flights are required for locations more than 3 hours drive out from the Perth CBD.

  6. PLEASE NOTE : As a business, Stuart Holden Imagery, does not refund non-refundable retainers on cancelled booking dates unless in the place of genuine hardship which, for us, is considered bankruptcy or death of either the bride/ and or groom.
